My Studio on Northfield Avenue is a peaceful, inspiring space, perfect to work in and to explore new ideas, and just right to talk about my clients' projects. Please feel free to call or visit, anytime from Tuesday to Saturday, so we can talk about making your home everything you want it to be.
We work closely with an importer of classic hand-woven rugs and carpets, in traditional and modern designs. We have only a small selection of samples in the studio but we can make an appointment for you to visit the warehouse, an Alladin's Cave of fine rugs and carpets in all sizes, patterns and rich colours, to suit every taste and budget. Qasquai, Gabbeh, Kilims, you name it, it's there.
We can of course supply fitted carpets from all the major manufacturers but, if it's something special you're after, there's really only one place to go. We work exclusively with a European carpet mill specialising in fine quality rugs, made to order in any size, using only the finest materials a glorious range of colours and textures. Look through our samples, and choose the one that's right for you.
It's not all about always getting new stuff. I'm a great believer in restoring and re-using. One of my clients had a lovely set of antique dining chairs, featuring petit point needlework on the backs done by her mother, to look like playing cards. The seats were perished and the frames were unsteady, but she didn't want to lose the chairs or the fabric. Here's what we did.
My client had a much-loved three-seater sofa, that had been in the family for some time, but it was too large for their new home. She didn't want to get rid of it, but she didn't know what to do.
Simple: we converted it into a two-seater sofa! Problem solved!
